So sorry to hear of David Sr. ‘s passing. During my time at Clayton Improvement David was always someone that we could count on in helping us with care and maintenance at the facilities and helping the people that lived there. Dave, Jeff and the entire Peets family,
My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you at this sad time. Dave was an amazing co-worker, friend and father to his kids and grandkids. He always put everyone else ahead of his own needs, including the 70 residents living at the senior housing all of those years he worked there. He never complained if he was woken up in the middle of the night for something that could have waited till morning. He truly gave his all and took great pride in his work, whether it was lawn mowing, snow removal or just the repairs in an apartment. In all of the years we worked together he never once complained, but instead always had a smile or shared a laugh. And then he gave me the honor of living in the housing in Cape Vincent where I am working today. This gave me the chance to give back to him for all of the times he bailed me out. I will always cherish the memories of laughing at all of the odd things we encountered each and every day. He was truly a special man and will be greatly missed forever!!!

Dear Peets,
Always loved you and your Dad and brother. Highest respect for your father, as a hard working, sweet gentleman. Prayers to you and your children as I’m sure they will be missing their Grandfather terribly.

Big Dave was one of my favorite people. Always an open door, a hug, a smile. He was a sweet soul. He put up with so many of our childhood shenanigans, he should have been a Saint! It was also an honor and a privilege to be his nurse later in life, and return at least a portion of his kindnesses. Ill never forget all the wonderful memories over the years. Rest easy, friend. I love you!!
