Mrs. Elizabeth J. Davidson, 76, formerly of LaFargeville, passed away Saturday, December 21st, at her daughter’s residence where she was under the care of her loving family and Hospice of Jefferson County. She was a resident of Samaritan Summit Village for the past three years.
Elizabeth was born February 18th, 1948, in Rochester, New York, the daughter of Henry and Vivian House Hirschler. She moved to the Redwood area at a young age, following her father’s death, where she attended area schools.
On August 26th, 1966, she married Ronald Davidson Sr., at Fineview Methodist Church on Wellesley Island with Reverend Beatrice Clark officiating. Mr. Davidson, a long time employee of Crowley’s, passed away June 6th, 2010, at age 64.
Liz first started work as a nanny, and through this job met the love of her life, Ron. Together, they lived happily and in love, and she raised their 4 children as a stay at home mother and housewife. She later worked as a cook at the LA Café where she was especially known for her delicious Mac and Cheese.
She enjoyed crocheting, doing jigsaw puzzles, and especially baking. Over the years, she hand made several blankets and washcloths for her friends and family, and during the holiday season, would bake the most delicious sugar cookies (a family recipe) and her famous buckeyes that she would share with members of the community.
Surviving are two daughters, Dawn (Scott) Farrell of Clayton, and Amy (Wade) Sanford of LaFargeville; two sons, Ronald (Alison) Davidson Jr. of Philadelphia, N.Y., Jeffrey (Renee) Davidson of Theresa; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren, with two more on the way; nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her older siblings; John, Fred, Daniel, Gertrude (Sue), Mary and her younger brother Joe.
She will be extremely missed by her family and community on earth, but they all can find comfort in the many wonderful memories she shared with them and the knowledge that she will have an amazing reunion with her loved ones in heaven; especially with her soulmate, Ron.
There will be a Celebration of Life on January 4th, 2025, from 1-3pm, at the LaFargeville American Legion. A Spring burial will be in Grove Cemetery, LaFargeville.
Donations can be made in her name to Hospice of Jefferson County, 1398 Gotham St. Watertown, New York, 13624

Thinking of your family during this season. Liz was a beautiful woman inside and out. Us girls always laughed with her when we brought her meds. She never wanted or asked for anything. Thank you for sharing her with us
