Danielle Renee Perkins (Hunt), 54, of Harrisville, New York, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2025. Born on August 27, 1971, in Watertown, New York, Danielle lived a life marked by deep love for her family and a joyful embrace of life’s simple pleasures.
Danielle pursued her education with determination, earning her GED and continuing on to BOCES where she trained in nursing and became a Certified Nursing Assistant. Her dedication to caregiving reflected her compassionate nature and desire to help others.
At the heart of Danielle’s life was her family. She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Walter Perkins; her children, Heather Perkins, Tyler Perkins (Chelsea), Travis (Sapphire); As well as many of her children’s friends who lovingly called her “ma”. Danielle was a proud grandmother to Emmalyn, Natasha, Ashton, Darius, Maeve, and Travis. She also leaves behind her sisters Rebecca Reff and Renee Jones (Michael); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will cherish her memory.
Danielle was predeceased by her parents, Mary Jane Hunt and Harold Hunt.
A true homebody at heart, Danielle found joy in the everyday moments—watching movies with loved ones, observing birds and outdoor critters from the comfort of home, or diving into whatever hobby had captured her interest that week. She was known for being a collector of knickknacks and an enthusiastic movie buff. Her beloved dog Peanut held a special place in her heart and was considered part of the family.
Danielle’s warmth and humor left an impression on all who knew her. Her love for those around her was unwavering and deeply felt. May Danielle’s memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
There will not be any calling hours or formal funeral. Danielle always said funerals are for the living, so in her last days she hosted a celebration of her life at her home, in which all the attendees agreed that this time spent with her was far more special.
