The funeral for Mr. Wesley J. Elliott, age 71, of the Shimel Rd. will be at 1pm Friday at the Orleans Four Corners Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor Norma Gee officiating. Burial will be at the families convenience in Redwood Cemetery. Mr. Elliot passed away Saturday at the Samaritan Medical Center.
Wes was born August 22, 1942, in the Town of Alexandria, the son of Walter and Martha LeClair Elliott. He graduated from Redwood High School.
On June 26, 1965, he married the former Jessie Payne in Watertown.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
Wes worked and retired from the New York Air Brake as a machinist from the mid 1960’s until retiring in April of 2004. After his retirement he worked at River Hospital from August of 2004 until retiring again in June of 2013.
He enjoyed woodcarving and was avid gardener. He loved to torturing people and causing trouble!
Surviving besides his wife Jessie are nieces and nephews.
One sister Joyce Pierce, died before him.
Donations can be made in his name to the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements are with the T.R. Jetty Funeral Home in Clayton.
