Calling hours for Mr. Douglas F. Brown will be from 1-3pm, Saturday Dec. 13th, at the T.R. Jetty Funeral Home in Clayton. There will be no funeral.
Doug was born Aug. 26, 1942, in Watertown, the son Orlin and Lenora Jenks Brown. He attended Watertown Schools.
He married the former Kathleen McDermott June 29, 1962.
Doug worked at the railroads from 1963-1967, then he went to work for the New York Air Brake as a Machinist, retiring in 1991. He then moved to Florida for a time, returning in 2006.
His wife Kathleen died August 23, 2007.
He enjoyed working on cars, he enjoyed fixing things, there was very little that he couldn’t fix, and he really loved visiting with people.
Surviving are three sons, Aaron (April), Robert, and James, all of LaFargeville; two daughters Patricia (James) Larrabee and Katherine Brown, all of Florida; 16 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; two sisters, Marg (Carl) Russell of LaFargeville, and Phyllis (Dave) Browne of LA; two brothers, Loren (Dorlee) of Virginia, and Lawrence (Heidi) of Florida; nieces and nephews.
One sister, Erma, and two brothers, Ken and Robert, died before him.
Donations can be made to the Hospice of Jefferson County.
