The funeral for Mr. Randy G. Hunneyman, age 56, will be at 4pm Sunday at the T.R. Jetty Funeral Home with Donna Fitchette officiating. Calling hours will be from 2pm until the time of the service. He died Saturday, Oct. 3, at his home, where he was under the care of his family and Hospice of Jefferson County, after a long battle with cancer.
Randy was born November 11, 1958, in Watertown, the son of Lynn and Ida Desormeau Hunneyman. He graduated from 1000 Islands High School.
In 2006, he married the former Jenna Autry. A former married to Immy Garnsey ended in divorce.
Randy worked for many years for Bearup Construction as well as Can-Am Speedway as a flagman for Bob and Rose Thurston.
Besides his wife Jenna, he is survived by his mother Ida; one daughter Harmony Hunneyman and her fiancé Justin Byrnes of Sandy Creek; three brothers, Jerry (Terri) of Plessis, Dean (Patricia) of Redwood, and Dale (Gayle) of Alexandria Bay; two sisters, Jan (John) Cain of Dexter, and Monique (Timothy) Skelly of Ogdensburg; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
His father Lynn, two sons, Derik and Toby, as well as two brothers, Barry and Brent, all died before him.
Randy will be greatly missed for his love and great kindness. He loved deer hunting, auto racing, and all outdoor activities.
In lieu of flowers, Randy’s family would add that any donations be made and mailed in care to Harmony Hunneyman, 317 Scott Rd., Sandy Creek, NY 13145 to help with expenses.
