Mr. Lyle A. Tousley, age 87, of Depauville-Chaumont Rd., died Saturday, May 28th, at his home where he was under the care of his family and Hospice of Jefferson County.
All services will be private. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Theresa.
Lyle was born September 19th, 1928, in Theresa, the son of Charles and Estella Waite Tousley. He attended area schools.
In 1952, he entered the United States Marine Corp, serving in South Korea and was honorably discharged in 1954.
On July 8th, 1956, he married the former Beverly Gilman in Philadelphia, N.Y., with the Reverend George M. Pillbeam officiating.
Lyle was a truck driver for various companies in the Jefferson County area. Some were Rt. 37 Building Supply and the Town of Theresa.
Surviving besides his wife Beverly is one son, Dennis of Dexter; three daughters, Vicki (Mike) O’Connor of Lowville, Lee (Bill) Bryant and Lisa (Jim) Bevens, both of South Carolina; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; three sisters, Joyce Loomis of Carthage, Evelyn Bartlett of Theresa, and Kay Bartlett of Potsdam; nieces and nephews.
Two brothers, Ralph and Lewis, and one sister Doris Loomis, died before him.
