Dear Chapman Family: We were so sad to hear about the passing of MR. Chapman. Our daughter had him for a third grade teacher at Alexandria Central and she absolutely loved him. He was so kind and good with the kids. And he was a joy to speak with during Parent Teacher Conferences. He is gonna be sadly missed by many. He in our opinion was one of the best teachers ACS ever had. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family in your time of sorrow. We are so very sorry for loss.

Part of the reason I became a teacher was simply because I had so many great examples. Mr.Chapman was one of them. As a fifth grader I read anything and everything. He personally saw to it that I could go upstairs to the “big kids’ ” library. This opened a whole new world to me. I’ve never forgotten that- not personally or professionally. Teachers like Mr. C are never forgotten.

Dear Chapman Family,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Mr. Chapman was my 4th and 5th grade teacher. I can remember the day I learned that he would be taking me to 5th grade with him. I was so happy because I absolutely thought he hung the moon. He was funny and kind and I loved every minute that I got to spend with him. Heaven gained a very special angel. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this very difficult time.

To Mr. Chapman & Family,
Mr. Chapman was my 4th grade teacher and one of my very favorites. He went well above his teaching to talk to me about some hard things my family was going through. He always listened and if I made him promise not to tell anyone what we talked about, he kept his promise. So for me, and I’m sure many other students, he was more than a teacher. He was also a great listener, counselor, and always had the right words to say of you were upset or make u laugh to help you feel better. He was one of the bests at ACS and truly will be missed. R.I.P. Mr. Chapman. Prayers to all the family. ❤️

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Mr C was a super teacher whom both our sons had at Alexandria Central. He was known for his quality of teaching, compassion for students, and love for teaching. He could always be seen in front of the school in the afternoon as students boarded their buses. He always gave 110%…a rare quality.
