There will be a Graveside Service for Mrs. Marie F. Humphrey, 79, who died Wednesday, August 2nd, at Summit Village, on Saturday, Aug. 12th, at 1pm, at Grindstone Island Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
Marie was born March 8th, 1938, on Grindstone Island, the daughter of Howard and Melvina Beshawz Slate. She attended island schools.
She married Orville Humphrey April 2nd, 1988, at Clayton Methodist Church, with Dale Austin officiating. A previous marriage ended in divorce.
Marie worked as a domestic for various people in the Clayton and Watertown areas.
She enjoyed music, her collection of porcelain dolls, and traveling.
Surviving is one son, Ken (Misty) Partridge of Clayton; one daughter Jean Brown of Clayton; six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; one sister, Yvonne (Phil) Marra of Watertown and Grindstone Island; nieces and nephews.
