The Funeral Mass for Mr. Donald C. Bourcy, 68, who died Tuesday Jan. 23rd, at Lee Memorial Health Park in Fort Meyers Florida, will be held at 11am Saturday, February 3rd, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Clayton with Father Arthur LaBaff officiating. A Spring burial will be held at the St. Vincent DePaul Cemetery in Rosiere.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 7pm Friday, Feb. 2nd, at the T.R.Jetty Funeral Home in Clayton.
Donnie was born February 25th, 1949, in Watertown, the son of Donald and Margaret Love Bourcy. He did his schooling at St. Mary’s and Clayton High School.
On July 13th, 1968, he married the former Karen Wood, at the St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in Rosiere.
Don worked for years as a long haul trucker, then for Carlisle Sand & Gravel and Bach and Company. He retired from the Town of Cape Vincent Public Works.
Along with his wife, they enjoyed spending their winters in Florida.
Surviving besides his wife Karen, is his mother Margaret; one daughter Denise (John) Micek of Virginia; two sons, Scott (Shannon) and Brad (Elizabeth), both of Clayton; 8 grandchildren, Ryan Jetty and his companion Justine Hodkinson, Jared and Mikayla Micek, Collin and Connor Bourcy, and Emily Rich, and Jessica and Tyler Bourcy; three brothers, Randy, Rick (Patricia) of Clayton, and Gary of Colton; two sisters, Marlene Goldthrite of California, and Wanda (Tom) Aubertine of Syracuse; nieces and nephews.
One sister, Dawn Veres, passed away January 16th, 2018, at age 61.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to Hospice of Jefferson County, 1398 Gotham St., Watertown, N.Y. 13601.
