Carol Ann Lyon, 72, of Whiskey Street, died Friday January 26th, at her residence. There will be no funeral or calling hours. A burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
Carol Ann was born April 15th, 1945, in Carthage, the daughter of Carlton and Margaret Rowell Lyon. She graduated from Carthage High School.
A marriage ended in divorce.
She worked for a time as an RN at Carthage Area Rehabilitation Center, until becoming disabled.
Surviving are two daughters, Tonia (Joseph) Corbin of Texas, and Yvonne (Douglas) Dickhaut of Ohio; five grandchildren, Gary Truxton, Nicole and Zachary Dickhaut, of Ohio, Brandon and Justin Corbin of Texas; one brother, David Broyles of Carthage; one sister, Chris Butler of Carthage; one sister-in-law, Edie Brassard of Theresa; and a close friend Ruth Garnsey; nieces and nephews.
Four brothers, Wayne (as a child), Bill, Tom, and Ronald, and one grandson, Joseph Corbin, died before her.
Arrangements are with the T.R. Jetty Funeral Home in Clayton.
Donations can be made in her name to the local chapter of the American Cancer Society.
