Mr. Dalton K. Partridge, 82, formerly of Rt. 12, affectionately known as Gomer and the Hobby Farmer, died Sunday, June 3rd, at the Samaritan Keep Home where he resided since March of 2017. Calling hours will be Friday, June 8th, from 6-9pm, at the T.R. Jetty Funeral Home in Clayton.
His funeral and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
Dalton was born June 13th, 1935, in Macomb, N.Y., the son of Lawrence Partridge and Louava Fleming Partridge Hill.
He enjoyed his family, nascar racing, farming, tractors, and ladies.
While growing up he worked for his Uncle Kenneth Fleming on the Family Farm in Macomb and also worked with Erwin Partridge. Daltons family owned what is now STM Farms in Clayton where his brother Junior resided until his death. He began work at General Crushed Stone (Hanson) in Watertown in September of 1968, known there as Gomer, where he was a loader/operator until his retirement in 1999. After retirement, he went back to doing what he loved, working on the farm, now owned by Steve and Nena Scott.
Surviving are two children, Kenneth (Misty) and Jean Brown, both of Clayton; grandchildren, David Brown Jr., Ernest Brown, John (Jennifer) Brown, Shady-Lynn (Kaleb) Jeffries, Jade Partridge, Griffin Partridge; 11 great grandchildren; brothers, Charles (Donna) of Clayton, and Robert of Calcium; nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his parents, one sister Doreen, and three brothers, Lawrence (Junior), Fred, and Don.
