Mr. Robert C. Calhoun, 75, died Saturday, November 2nd, after a lengthy illness. Per his request there will be no services.
Arrangements are with the T.R. Jetty Funeral Home in Clayton.
Bob was born September 17th, 1944, in Watertown, the son of Ora (Bill) and Muriel Morin Calhoun. He grew up in Cape Vincent, where he graduated school.
On May 31st, 2006, he married the former Denise Norfolk in Clayton.
Bob worked his farm for a long time, and also worked as a Mechanic for 1000 Islands Bridge Authority and Gilco.
He was a member of the F.F.A.
Bob enjoyed traveling, keeping his lawn mowed just right, and especially going on his Sunday afternoon drives.
Amongst his survivors is his wife Denise; his daughter, Whitney and her fiancé John Shanahan of Dexter; his granddaughter, Paighton Shanahan of Dexter; and his life-long friend, Darryl Dingman of LaFargeville.
Donations can be made in his name to the local Shriners Organization, 1204 State Street, Watertown, N.Y. 13601.

Denise and Whitney, Very sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. I remember years ago he came and helped me with a tractor that was giving me fits. Very knowledgeable mechanic. Really nice guy and I feel guilty for not seeing him other than at school functions. I am sure you will miss him a lot.
