Mr. Jamie A. Nicholas, 42, died Thursday, March 5th, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse. He had been in ill health.
The Funeral will be 11am, Monday, March 9th, at St. Mary’s Church in Clayton with Father Arthur LaBaff, a burial will follow in Barnes Settlement Cemetery, Town of Alexandria. Calling hours will be from 2-4pm, Sunday, March 8th, at the T.R. Jetty Funeral Home in Clayton.
Jamie was born December 19th, 1977, in Alexandria Bay, the son Daniel J. and Barbara Umstead Nicholas Sr. He graduated from Alexandria Bay High School. He then graduated from the Culinary Arts Program at Paul Smiths College.
He was a cook for various restaurants in the Jefferson County area, including Alexandria Bay.
Jamie loved watching Nascar, the Boston Red Sox, and going camping.
Surviving is his mother, Barbara Keil of Clayton.
His father, Daniel, and stepfather, Fred Kiel, and one brother, Daniel Jr., pre-deceased him.
