Mr. Joseph C. Fluckiger, 80, passed away at his residence Wednesday, July 13th, where he was under the care of his family. Per Joe’s request there will be no services.
Joe was born September 7th, 1941, in Watertown, the son of Gerald and Thelma Clark Fluckiger. He graduated from 1000 Islands Central School.
On December 4th, 1965, he married the former Patricia Gillot in Fishers Landing.
Joe enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1961 and was discharged due to a disability, after being disabled while serving.
He enjoyed working on old cars.
Surviving besides his wife Patricia, is one daughter and her husband, Mary and Robert Fish of Dexter; two sons, Peter of LaFargeville, and Joseph (Clark) Simone II of LaFargeville; four grandchildren; one sister, Freda Schmidt of British Columbia; nieces and nephews.
Donations can be made in his name to the American Cancer Society.
