Mrs. Kay J. Bishop, 68, died Saturday, August 13th, at the Samaritan Medical Center. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, August 20th, from 1-4pm, followed by a funeral service at 4pm at the T.R. Jetty Funeral Home in Clayton.
Kay was born November 1st, 1953, in Lowville, the daughter of Earl and Helen Widrick Lyndacker. She was a 1971 graduate of Lowville Academy.
On July 20th, 1974, she married Alexander (Felix) Bishop at the Lowville Presbyterian Church.
She was a waitress for some time and then retired from Venus Manufacturing in Dexter in 2017.
Kay enjoyed doing circle word puzzles, bowling, reading, watching Hallmark movies, and especially spending time with her family.
Surviving besides her husband Alex, are three daughters, Heather (George) Sanford of Depauville, Carrie (Timothy) Narrow of Clayton, and Kasie Bishop and her fiancé Thomas Schultz of Henrietta; five grandchildren, Jena, Breanna, Dominick, Lani, and Gage; one brother, John Lyndacker, of Lowville; one sister, Careen Turck, of Baldwinsville; nieces and nephews.
One sister, Judy Leddy, two brothers, Earl Lyndacker Jr. and Ronald Lyndacker, predeceased her.
Donations can be made in her name to the local chapter of the American Cancer Society.
