Clayton;
Mrs. Mary L. Garnsey, 93, died Thursday, November 9, at the Samaritan Keep Home in Watertown, where she resided. Services will be private. A burial will be in Clayton Cemetery.
Mary was born August 8, 1930, on Grindstone Island, the daughter Ernest and Frances Carnegie Brown. She attended Grindstone Island and Clayton schools.
She married Harold Garnsey in 1947 in Clayton, with Reverend Wright Officiating. Mr. Garnsey passed away in 1985 at age 55.
Mary cooked at the T.I. Inn for over 20 years for Susan and Al Benas.
She enjoyed knitting, doing puzzles, and going out to eat.
Surviving are three sons and their wives, Lloyd (Chris), James (Georgia), and Donald (Darsie), all of Clayton; two daughters, Rosemary Ada of LaFargeville, and Bonnie Jeffers of Clayton; ten grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Three brothers, Robert, John, and Junie, and one sister, Jessie Hill, all pre-deceased her.
