Update: There will be a Graveside Service for Mrs. Lynne Mereau, this Saturday, June 22nd, at 11am at Riverside Cemetery on Wellesley Island. Lynne passed away March 3rd, 2024 at age 70. A Celebration of Life will follow the service at Grass Point State Park.
Mrs. Lynne M. (Altmann) Mereau, 70, died March 3rd, at Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown, New York.
There will be a Graveside Service June 22nd, at 11am at Riverside Cemetery on Wellesley Island. A Celebration of Life will follow at Grass Point State Park where they were married.
Lynne was born January 5th, 1954, in West Monroe, New York, the daughter of Donald and Arlene Roser Leska. She graduated from Paul V. Moore High School in Central Square.
On July 15th, 2017, she married Dan Mereau at Grass Point State Park.
Lynne worked in the Nursing field for many years in many different capacities. She worked locally for JRC, River Hospital, and retired in 2017 from Samaritan Medical Center.
She enjoyed fishing with her husband, traveling in their RV, going on Caribbean cruises, and she loved cooking and baking.
Surviving besides her husband Dan, is one daughter, Samantha (Tony) Brancatella of Philadelphia, New York; a son, Steven (Jennifer) Genovese of Fishers Landing, New York; one stepson, Zachary Mereau of Maricopa, Arizona; four grandchildren, Drake and Kade Genovese, and Antonio and Sophia Brancatella; nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her parents, one son, Michael Genovese, and one brother Duran Leska.
Donations can be made in her name to the Salvation Army of Watertown, 723 State Street, Watertown, New York 13601.
