To Shelly’s family –
I was so very sad and surprised to see the announcement of Shelly’s passing. I graduated high school with Shelly and she was always such a great girl and so sweet and kind. I wish you all peace during this difficult time.

So very sorry for the loss of a great girl like Shelly. We came to camp every Friday at Arcadia Park, and Shelly started our weekend with our first stop for snacks and fresh cheese curd, always smiling and helpful. Next summer will just not be the same without her friendly face to greet us every weekend. May she RIP.

Sending sympathy, love, and prayers to Lloyd and Shelly’s entire family. Shelly was a shining example of how hard work, doing something you love, can be rewarding – both for her and everyone around her. She never held back her smile of welcome when you went to The Gal’s Place. She let her own style and humor work for her to make the world a better place. R.I.P. Shelly.

What can I say about Shelly that hasnt already been said, how about that laugh? What an amazing person, workoholic, and joy to be around. Worked with her and Dar at the Gals for many years and think of both of them often. Stopped in this summer (as I always do) to say a quick hello and Shelly, as always was very happy to catch up. Her and her mother are very much missed, my condolences to her family and loving friends.

Lloyd I am so very sorry to hear about the passing of your daughter Shelly. I so enjoyed her being in our East Hounsfield Shamrocks 4-H club. She was always a sweetheart of a girl and always had a smile on her face. When I was her 4-H leader she was always so helpful to help me out with the kids any way I ever needed. Here is a little poem that helps comfort me when I lost my brother and I hope it helps you. The Broken Chain We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, In death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone; for part of us went with you, the day God called you home. you left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide, and though we cannot see you, you are always at out side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one,the chain will link again. God bless you.

Learning about the passing of Shelly today saddens me. I had the pleasure of knowing her ever since I started attending the Friday night cruise events some 10 or so years ago. I would always kid around with her as soon as I came through the door and she would give it right back to me.
We always ended up agreeing on her terms of whatever we were discussing, usually the Mac and Cheese order that I might forget to take with me after the show. I will always remember the in depth conversations we shared every summer.
Shelly will be missed by the classic car crowd as well as everyone that stopped in for a great meal and the best ice cream in the area. Our best to her family in this sad and most difficult time.

To all of dear Shelly’s family – you are in our thoughts and prayers! Bob and I knew Shelly from our frequent visits to The Gals, but I got to know her in a much deeper way when she was in the hospital at Upstate. I learned how very much she loves her family and friends, and I know that when she was afraid, she let me pray for her and ask God to fill her with his peace. That is now my prayer for each of the dear loved ones she has left behind.
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me…And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever” (Psalm 23)
