Mrs. Catherine A. Mannix, age 65, formerly of Clayton, died Tuesday May 26th, at the Samaritan Medical Center. As per her wishes there will be no funeral or calling hours. There will be a Celebration of Life in the near future.
Cathy was born July 10, 1949, in Watertown, the daughter of Sam and Mary (Betty) Ferguson Puccia. She graduated from Clayton Central School.
On January 22, 2977, she married Guy Mannix. She worked for a time at the Alexandria Bay Laundromat, Hawn’s Knitting Mill, and for a time as Home Health Care Aid.
She was a past member of the Clayton American Legion Post 821 Ladies Auxiliary, she was on the Board of Directors of the Clayton Hockey League at one time, where in the 1997-1998 season she was inducted into the Clayton Hockey Hall of Fame. Cathy also taught bowling to young children at the Clayton Bowling Alley.
Cathy enjoyed watching Soap Opera’s and Nascar racing on television, and especially loved being with her grandchildren.
Surviving is her husband Guy of Watertown; two sons, Tony of Watertown, and Joseph and his companion Renee Rhone of Black River; five grandchildren; and a nephew.
One brother, Samuel A. Puccia died in 1988.

She was a wonderful person. I cherish the memories I have as children growing up. mI spent a lot of time at Betty and Sam’s. She at peace now and not suffering, know that she was welcomed by her parents and brother with open arms. She will be missed by many.
