The Funeral for Mrs. Carolyn E. Bazinet, age 50, who passed away suddenly at her home on Grindstone Island on Nov. 23, will be held at 11am on Saturday, Nov. 28, at the Clayton United Methodist Church with Reverend Earl Lalone officiating. A reception will follow at the Clayton American Legion Post 821.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours.
Carolyn was born, July 3, 1965, in Watertown, the daughter of Harold and Margaret LaClair Shultz.
She graduated from Clayton High School and attended Jefferson Community College for two years.
Carolyn married Francis (Bubby) Bazinet on August 25, 1990, on Grindstone Island, at Rusho Bay.
She worked for a time for JRC in Watertown, she also was a Private Care Giver, babysat many children on Grindstone Island and Watertown, and assisted many many families on Grindstone Island with various projects.
Carolyn loved cooking and helping people. She loved every child she ever met, she loved Grindstone Island and all its people.
Surviving, besides her husband Bubby, are two children, Bobby and his companion Christy Spadola of Clayton; Mary Margaret, at home; a step daughter, Rachel Bernhardt of Clayton; six Grandchildren; one brother, Robert (Jill) Shultz of LaFargeville; two sisters, Cheryl Karpel of Clayton, and Sandra (Richard) Robinson of Great Bend; a brother in law, Floyd Hall of LaFargeville; a sister in law, Cheryl Shultz of Clayton; nieces and nephews.
One brother William, and a sister, Suzanne Hall, died before her.
Donations can be made in her name to the Clayton Volunteer Fire Department, to be used for anything the Fireboat needs.
