Mrs. H. Rozelma Wagner, age 97, formerly of Clayton, passed away Friday, February 19, 2016, in Virginia, where she resided with her daughter.
Rozelma loved to read, knit, crochet, and needlepoint. She loved her role as family historian, and was an amazing storyteller. But most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends. She will always be remembered for her laughter and the joyful way she lived her life.
Along with her parents, Joseph Henry and Flossie Collins Wood, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard (Snag) Leo Wagner; daughters: Mary Lou Sulier and Shirley Ann Wagner; sister: Katherine Payne; brothers: Fredrick Wood and Henry Joseph Wood; grandson: David Scott Ward; and great-granddaughter Jennifer Ann Fleenor.
She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn B. Ward of Bristol, VA; sister: Patricia Brabant of Watertown, NY; brother: Donald Wood (and Leota) of Cape Vincent, NY; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral mass was held in Virginia. The committal and interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Clayton, NY, in the Spring.
Local arrangements are with the T.R. Jetty Funeral Home in Clayton.
