Addie Mae Dine, 80 formerly of Depauville/Clayton passed away April 29, 2018 surrounded by family at Samaritan Summit Village where she has been a resident since 2014.
Addie was born October 20, 1937 in Depauville NY. The daughter and only child of Gerald and Harriet (Hartman) Gould. Addie attended Depauville Elementary school and graduated from Clayton High School in June of 1955.
On January 13, 1962 she married the love of her life C. Bernard Dine in Depauville NY. They have 3 children Karen (Russell) Moseley of Rodman, Sharon (Arthur) Gamble of Clayton, Stanley (Virginia) Dine also of Clayton.
Addie became a nurse’s aid and worked for River Hospital (formerly known as EJ Noble), Coutts adult hope in Cape Vincent, and the Thousand Island Adult Home in Alexandria Bay before retiring in 2002 to care for her father. She was also a waitress/cook for several local restaurants in the Thousand Islands area over the years. She was a member of the Methodist Church and Eastern Stars in Depauville for many years.
Addie enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, knitting, gardening, canning, cooking, and most importantly spending time and laughs with her family. One of her fondest memories growing up was making doughnuts with her mother and helping out at Gould Brothers Lumber with her father.
Addie was predeceased by both of her parents, and her husband Bernard. Surviving besides her three children are seven Grandchildren: Erica (Marc) Robbins, Kyleigh (Sean) Hummer, Russell (Kristin) Moseley, Amanda (Daniel) Davis, and Kristina (Brett) Kolankowski, Ashley Dine, and Reagan Dine. Three great grandchildren: Reed and Mackenna Robbins, Mason Davis, and one great grandson Carter Moseley on the way.
Arrangements have been in entrusted to T.R. Jetty Funeral Home in Clayton. Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 4th, from 4-7pm, followed immediately by the service with Reverend Don Briant officiating. A burial will be held at a later date at the Depauville Cemetery.
