John was a funny, warm, loveable man’s man. He taught me and many others a lot about living life on life’s terms. He was a true friend and we all were lucky to know him. We believe in a Higher Power, who I ask to have mercy on his soul and comfort all those who’ve ever loved him. This was all too soon, but his suffering’s over.

John was a good man and a wonderful father. I am grateful for our time together, and I’m holding him and his whole family very close to my heart for the next few days. Much love to you all ❤️
Marlene Harnden (nee Cochrane)
on behalf of the Cochrane family, I am sending our deepest sympathies to Laura & girls, Mathew and family, siblings Kitty, Janice, Kristine, Kurt and their families. Growing up we always thought John was the cool cousin. Although as we grew up and those visits became fewer and fewer, you were always on our minds. We do have those childhood memories of Christmas past, graduations, weddings, thanksgivings.
I am truly sorry that our families could not be together for the reunion but I now am clear that it was very important for your family to be together while John was ill. And even though his recovery was short lived, his time on earth was complete. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father and grandfather.
Ours thoughts and prayers are with you at this time love from Aunt Barbara Cochrane, Cheryl (Mike Clayson), Marlene (DavidHarnden), Leslie (Dwayne Taylor), Joanne (Wally Kettleson)

I was so saddened to hear of Johns passing. I have so many fond memories of him during our high school days. I ran into him a couple of times when visiting the Clayton area and found him to be the same kind, funny guy. My sympathies to the entire Greenizen family.

Matt and Traci,
John and I, as well as our children will miss your father so very much. He was a great friend and confidant to our family. We have so many fond memories of our “ John’s “ together for meals around our table or car shows that came to town and sitting around your kitchen table sipping great coffee and conversation. It’s a hollow feeling now when we drive through Clayton, and not stopping by your dad’s house. We miss him so much already.
We look forward to the time we spend with your family in the future as we reminisce fond memories of your Dad.
John, watch over this family and surround them with light. God bless and may your angels keep watch.

We only knew him for the 3 years that he helped us maintain our rental cottage in Clayton, but he was always kind and professional in our dealings.

To John’s wife and family: I’m so sorry for your loss. It’s been many years since I’ve even seen John. We were childhood friends on Greenizen Rd., and uses to skate on the family creek. He was a good man, and a hard worker from all I remember. From Kelly MacGregor Bushey
