Robert “Bob” M. Dodge, 78, of County Route 11 in LaFargeville, died peacefully on July 1st, at his home under the care of his family and Hospice of Jefferson County. Per his wishes there will be no services. A Celebration of Life will be at the convenience of the family.
Bob was born on August 31st, 1944, to the late Huburt “Stub” and Freda Davis Dodge in Alexandria Bay. He attended Clayton Schools.
On July 1, 1972, Bob and wife Cynthia “Cindy” Hendrick were married in DeKalb Junction.
Bob worked at Grays Wholesale in Clayton, Stature Electric in Watertown, and for Vern Thompson in LaFargeville.
He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially his grandkids and his beloved dog Daisy. One of his great past times was watching old tractor and car shows on YouTube.
Bob always looked forward to the weekly breakfast at Gerald Anyots with friends Terry Robbins and Darryl Hyde.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy; a son Travis and wife Bridgette of LaFargeville; grandchildren Dalton Dodge of LaFargeville and Eliza and Raelyn Dodge of Michigan; sisters Gloria Perry of Adams, and Patricia Dodge of Shortsville; brothers Gary of Clifton Springs, and David of Adams; sister-in-law’s Linda Stevenson of Tennessee; Gina Brabaw of Richville, and Debbie Fletcher, of DeKalb Junction; Brother-in-laws Gerald Hendrick of Brockport, Dougie Hendrick of Spencerport, Carl Hendrick of Spencerport, Larry Hendrick of DeKalb Junction, and Ron Hendrick of Florida.
Bob is predeceased by his son Thomas, his parents Hubert and Freda , and sister Connie. Also, his wifes parents Reginald and Helen Gray Hendrick, sister-in-law Gloria Hendrick Trombley, brother-in-law’s Donald Perry, Donald Hendrick, and Raymond Hendrick.
