Mr. David H. Baltz, 78, passed away August 20, at Summit Village, where he had been a resident. Calling hours will be Wednesday, August 26, from 10:00am until Noon at the Omar Methodist Church, with a 12:00pm funeral service. Burial will follow in Omar Cemetery.
Dave was born August 18, 1948, in Alexandria Bay, the son of Harold and Eileen Garceau Baltz. He graduated from LaFargeville Schools.
On July 6, 1974, he married Wanda I. Sprague at the Adams Methodist Church. She passed away June 15, 1994, at age 38.
On January 1, 1995, he married Wanda J. Ash with Justice Lee Gill officiating. She passed away December 17, 2000, at age 51.
On September 22, 2001, he married Barbara A. George. She passed away October 23, 2015, at age 67.
Dave farmed all his life and loved it. He was especially proud of his farm becoming a “Dairy of Distinction.”
He enjoyed bowling, bingo, going to the Can-Am racetrack, mowing lawns, going to dinner, and gardening. He really loved visiting with everyone.
Dave was a long-time member of the Omar United Methodist Church.
He is survived by two sons, Michael (Valery) and Andy and his companion Katie Robins, both of Omar; one stepson, Donnie George of Watertown; four grandchildren, four great grandchildren; one brother Mark (Diane) Baltz of Omar; nieces and nephews.
Besides his three wives, he is pre-deceased by one brother, Richard, who passed away March 29, 2020, at age 69.
Donations can be made in his name to Omar United Methodist Church.
Following the burial a reception will be held at the LaFargeville American Legion.

Joe l loved our visits with Dave ! He was a good man and truly loved his family and the farm that he spent his life working and making a show place. David was our neighbor for over 50 years. He was a good man and a good friend. Our late father, Paul Link Sr especially enjoyed long talks with David.
