9/29/2026 – Kevin B. Resch, Watertown

Kevin B. Resch, 73, of Watertown, passed away Saturday, September 26, at his home, surrounded by the love of his family.

Kevin will be laid to rest privately by his family at Grove Cemetery in LaFargeville. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, October 11, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Elks Lodge, 728 Bradley St., Watertown, NY. All are welcome to come share a story, a laugh, and possibly some tears.

Kevin was born August 22, 1953, in Watertown, the son of Frederick and Ruth Reidell Resch. He spent many years in LaFargeville before making his home in Watertown.

Kevin married Julie Burrows in 1971, and together they had three sons, Jonathan, Micha, and Matthew, who remained a great source of pride throughout his life. Though their marriage later ended in divorce, the family they created remained an important part of Kevin’s life.

Kevin later shared many years with Susan Fayette, making their home together in Watertown until her passing in 2020.

Kevin worked for Anchor Motor Freight on Wellesley Island from 1978 until 1998. He later owned KBR Car Sales and worked as a small engine mechanic throughout Jefferson County, developing a special talent for repairing golf carts. One of his favorite places was the C-Way, where he spent countless hours repairing carts, golfing, and enjoying the people around him.

Kevin was fortunate to find love again with Karen Lunderman. They married on August 17, 2025, and made their home together in Watertown. Though their time as husband and wife was far too short, the year they shared was one of the happiest of Kevin’s life.

Kevin loved golf, snow-covered trails, racetracks, and the open road. He and Karen spent their time together enjoying those things, making memories and seeing new places along the way. For Kevin, it was never just about the destination; it was about the journey. He was happiest doing what he loved with the people who mattered most to him.

Kevin is survived by his wife, Karen (Lunderman) Resch of Watertown; his mother, Ruth Resch of Watertown; his three sons, Jonathan (Kelly) of Alexandria Bay, Micha (Brandy) of Chaumont, and Matthew of Watertown; his grandchildren, Jonathan Resch II, Remington Resch, Emma Resch, Elliott Resch, Evan Resch, Zion Morrow, Lucas Resch, CJ Resch, Cassie Jarrell, and Carlin “Kiddo” Young; and six great-grandchildren, Blake, Evelyn, Scarlet, Scout, Cecilia, and Pacey, whom he adored. He is also survived by his sister, Janelle Longton of Theresa; several nieces and nephews; and his best friend, Carl Janack.
