Mr. Thomas H. Engle, 92, passed away August 29, at his home, where he was under the care of his daughter. There will be a Memorial Service, Tuesday, October 13th, at the Omar Methodist Church at 4:00pm.
Tom was born March 22, 1934, in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Harrison and Pauline Chesnut Engle. He graduated from Highland Park School in Michigan and the Henry Ford Trade School and Michigan State University.
In 1989, he married the former Suzanne Smith, at the Marrietta Christian Methodist Church. Suzanne passed April 7, 2019, at age 77.
Tom was a Rail motive Engineer at CSS, and he traveled for the New York Air Brake for over 30 years retiring in 1996. He also had a business for years in Alexandria Bay He also had a business for years in Alexandria Bay called Railmotive Constructors Engineering.
He is a past member if the Clayton Rotary Club, and a past member of the Alexandria Bay Chamber of Commerce. He was a life member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
He is survived by his four sons, Mike of Michigan, Eric of Ithaca, Lloyd (Betty) of Lowville, Keith (Devon) of Pennsylvania; two daughters and Allison (Tracy) Warfel of Pennsylvania, and Angela Engle of Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
